KORAFLEX Amper FVA 

 Standalone fully electric

KORAFLEX Amper FVA (230 V AC) is a fully electric trench heater with an aluminium grille, which, to achieve high heating output and fast heat transfer into the room, is equipped with a high-performance electric heat exchanger and an EC tangential fan. Reliable control then guarantees simple and safe operation. The trench heater operates independently of the central heating system and does not contain a heat exchanger for hot-water heating. The trench heater has compact dimensions and is suitable wherever connection to the heating system is not possible.
We recommend installing the KORAFLEX Amper FVA near large glazed areas and it is also suitable for fully electric or modern low-energy houses. Thanks to the option of retrofit installation, it is also suitable for renovations. It provides fast, quiet and energy-efficient heating which, thanks to its high heating output, can be installed as a primary or secondary (backup) heat source, or as an alternative to standard heating.

Installation instructions


A properly installed trench heater must be positioned horizontally, with the heating element oriented towards the window. The trench heater casing must have straight, non-deformed upper edges to ensure correct operation of the cover grille.

Installation of the trench heater is possible
• in a concrete floor (standard construction solution)
• in a plinth – for renovations or additional modifications
• in raised floors – using special supports designed for this purpose

In all cases, it is necessary to anchor the trench heater firmly to prevent it from being stepped on and to ensure that all technical installation requirements are met. We recommend leaving the cover plate in place throughout the construction work to prevent contamination of the trench heater’s internal space. A non-walkable hardboard cover is supplied as
standard for basic protection. For installation purposes, an OSB cover with increased rigidity can be ordered as an optional accessory.

Concreting and installation

  • The recommended distance of the trench heater from the wall or window is max. 100 mm.
  • The dimensions of the installation opening in the floor must be at least 100 mm longer and wider than the dimensions of the trench heater itself.
  • When using fixing anchors, the bottom width of the trench heater is increased by 42 mm on each side.
  • During concreting, the trench heater must be levelled horizontally using the levelling set screws and firmly fixed with fixing anchors to prevent shifting.
  • We recommend inserting an expansion material between the trench heater frame and the concrete.
  • During concrete pouring, the trench heater can be loaded vertically. At the same time, it is important to brace it to prevent longitudinal bending. The installed spacers are used for this purpose and can be easily removed after concreting.
  • Before concreting, it is necessary to connect the trench heater to the electrical mains.
  • During the concreting phase (or when using anhydrite), it is necessary to thoroughly seal all openings into the trench heater to prevent contamination or ingress of the building mixture.
  • It is recommended to insulate the trench heater casing against moisture.
  • The trench heater must always be firmly concreted in – the levelling set screws are used only for horizontal levelling.
  • For models with fans, we recommend using an acoustically absorbent foil and fixing with lean concrete along the sides and under the bottom of the casing.

Installation in raised floor 

  • For installation in raised floors, supports are available for precise levelling and stable fixing of the trench heater.
  • The requirement for firm anchoring also applies here to prevent mechanical damage (e.g. stepping through) under load on the cover grille.

    Electrical safety
  • The electrical installation design must be prepared by a person with the appropriate professional qualifications in accordance with applicable standards.
  • Installation and servicing of the electrical system may only be carried out by a qualified person in accordance with the relevant electrical regulations.
  • Before commissioning, an initial inspection of the electrical installation must be carried out in accordance with the applicable legislation.
